List-O-Matic
List-o-matic is a personal project in alpha stage. It’s a Ruby on Rails app that is intended to make domestic meal-planning and shopping a bit easier. Users can enter meals (as ingredient lists) into the system which can then be combined to create shopping lists organised by product type and quantity. The lists are accessible online (e.g, to mobile phones), if printing isn’t an option. This is the second iteration of the app, now using a Flex front end. Not particularly glamourous, but a good way to learn Rails!
The app takes a while to start up when it’s been idle for a while. Something to do with Dreamhost’s Rails hosting, I think.
