Julian Velard

Working with WeFail, I integrated the Virgin Records CMS into the Information section of julianvelard.com. The site incorporates a YouTube video player, and mp3 player, various image galleries and a blog.
Simon Webbe PSP

This flash-based promotion was made in cooperation with Sony UK.
It features audio and video players, as well as ‘picture-in-a-picture’ commentary from Simon about his videos. It also has a mini-application that allows fans to make their own Simon Webbe logo.
The PSP was modelled and animated in 3DS Max.
List-O-Matic

List-o-matic is a personal project in alpha stage. It’s a Ruby on Rails app that is intended to make domestic meal-planning and shopping a bit easier. Users can enter meals (as ingredient lists) into the system which can then be combined to create shopping lists organised by product type and quantity. The lists are accessible online (e.g, to mobile phones), if printing isn’t an option. This is the second iteration of the app, now using a Flex front end. Not particularly glamourous, but a good way to learn Rails!
The app takes a while to start up when it’s been idle for a while. Something to do with Dreamhost’s Rails hosting, I think.

Trojan Records Radio

This audio player was commissioned by Sanctuary Records to showcase music from the Trojan Records label. Featuring some great tracks, the player is updated by a CMS, and accomodates packshots, track details and store links. Design by Elliot Jay Stocks
Dave Gahan eCard

An audio / video ecard created for Mute UK, promoting the release of Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan’s “Hourglass”.
Jamelia.com

Parlophone Records required a magazine-style site to promote Jamelia’s 2007 album “Walk With Me”. The site was fed data by Parlophones in-house CMS which allows staff to easily update content.
Well Fashioned

The Well Fashioned website was commissioned by the Education department of the Crafts Council, London to support their exhibition of the same name.
The exhibition revolved around the work of fashion designers who shared ecological concerns in the production of their clothes.
The site features an directory of environmentally friendly retailers and designers, an interactive sketchbook of significant moments in eco-thought, as well as profiles of the designers and examples of their work.
The site also offers a wealth of educational material in the form of essays and interviews.
Arnold Layne Covers

This competition site, hosted on davidgilmour.com allowed bands to upload their own rendition of Syd Barrett’s classic track ‘Arnold Layne’. The winners received the fantastic prize of a day in Abbey Road studios with Pink Floyd’s technician.
Users of the site could vote for tracks they liked and copy MySpace embedding code for any specific track. Votes could also be cast from embedded players on MySpace pages.
The Arnold Layne competition ended in January 2006. The winners were Rockfour
This project was nominated for Best Artist Promotion at the BT Digital Music Awards in 2007.
Reacteasy

Your Army promotes and manages new club music and artists. They commisioned me to build Reacteasy, an application for surveying DJ reactions to new music. It features a tool that allows staff to create their own custom questionnaires, and derive statistics from those answers in reports.
Disney Widgets

I developed these widgets to promote the High School Musical 3 and Camp Rock soundtracks. Both feature media players for audio and video, and photo galleries. They were distributed via Clearspring and also as Bebo, Facebook and MySpace apps.
